As new homeowners installing solar was a difficult decision. My husband and I went back and forth on it and reached out to various companies for quotes. After some searching, my wife and I decided to have We Build San Diego redo our master bath. They are a joy to work with. Dave was very flexible with scheduling and worked with us when we had to twice change start dates. He also followed up with us periodically during the project to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The crew are AWESOME, both Justin and Donny were great workers, they showed up on time and most importantly cleaned up after their work at the end of each day. They were very respectful of our property and house and always kept us in the loop on the work done. They have a great work ethic and good personalities and sense of humor. As a bonus, we have a full fledge lemon tree in our back yard with too many lemons, Justin offered to make us a pitcher of his special homemade lemonade! We came home one day to a cold pitcher of EXCELLENT lemonade in our fridge! On top of that he also cleaned up after himself and the kitchen supplies that he used. I would recommend anyone give We Build San Diego a try for any home improvement projects. Ours was a great experience and yours will be too!

We have had an exceptional experience with, and highly recommend WeBuildSanDiego ! Their team upgraded our house including; rebuild a 2nd floor balcony, installation of new rock vernier and siding, roof replacement and subsequent installation of a solar electric and air conditioning/heating systems.Dave assembled a great team to make our home improvement a reality. The consistent theme was "make it right".Project leader, Ian was a detail oriented craftsman who listened to our input and concerns while consistently moved the project forward. Under his leadership the team built in quality in as we progressed. The building skills of Troy and Charlie were the foundation of the successful completion of all of the phases of our project. Area specialists Florine (masonry), Donny (HVAC) and Shawn (PV solar) each added their own special expertise, drive for quality and enthusiasm to complete their phases of the project.Compared to other contractor "horror stories", ours has been an "a-typical" home repair/improvement experience. The folks showed up to work on time and prepared to work a full day. Our questions or concerns were immediately addressed and resolved. It’s always a bit nerve wracking when deciding who to select for a large project. Our faith in Dave and We Build San Diego was well placed. He explained what he was going to do, when he was going to do it, how much it was going to cost, and what results we could expect. He came through in each area and we couldn’t be happier. He sized our system perfectly; we ran the air conditioner almost 24/7 during August and our net due to SDG&E for that month was $15! Highly recommend Dave and We Build San Diego.

Dave and team were the best!! They we professional, detailed and honest. Pricing was great and they have been a stand up business to work with. I have now used them multiple times and would use them again and again. We have been through a lot of home construction teams and Dave's is the best!! Shawn was also awesome and I swear my kids were ready to have them all move in! We had them build a customer pantry, move our furnace into the attic, add an AC, do solar, roofing... Wow! Where to begin (or continue) my praise for We Build San Diego. Dave and his crew at We Build San Diego did such a great job with our kitchen work a few years ago, they were my first go-to company when I was looking for more renovation work this time around. Over the past 6-7 weeks, we had some major work done by Dave and his crew from WBSD and it's ALL PICTURE PERFECT! Brand new roof and solar, completely remodeled bathroom, wall to wall new hardwood floors, additional kitchen remodel work, completely upgraded electric, and various odds and ends that we kept adding along the way. I cannot give enough praise and say how amazing the “We build San Diego” team is. Dave and his crew built our dream home in Escondido and out of all of the contractors we researched, “We build San Diego” was the only company that thoroughly went over their bid with me line item by line item explaining every detail. Their follow up was superb and they would keep in touch with me constantly throughout the entire process. During construction, Dave would always keep me notified of all updates and the work and quality was nothing short of amazing. As someone who used to work as a foreman in construction myself, I can attest to the quality of their craftsmanship. I re-hired “We build San Diego” for my 5 car garage and even the beginning architecture plans are already amazing. Five stars to “We Build San Diego” and if we could, we’d give them ten. We've been using WBSD for all of our home renovations over the past 5 years and could not be happier. The renovations have included addition of a second bathroom, expansion of our home living area by 500sf, and a lot of other work both inside and outside. Quotes for work are always highly accurate, with no hidden costs, so we always have confidence that the work will be done well and within the budget we set at the beginning. Hands down, an amazing experience. Remodeling is stressful no matter how big or small the project. Hard earned money is going into your home and you hope that it will all turn out right. Well, WBSD makes sure that it happens. Dave and his crew were very professional, courteous, and very, very accommodating to our lifestyle. We have 3 young kids under the age of 9 and the entire crew was so sweet to them through the whole process; there were very respectful of my wife and made sure we were happy through the entire process. Inevitably, this is an interactive process and it can be difficult at times when decisions have to be made on the fly. We are total newbies to remodeling, working with contractors, etc. and Dave walked us through every step of the process. He is very particular about who he picks to be on his team and his attention to detail is amazing. Dave was encouraging and practical, all the while stressing his desire to achieve excellence and make sure we got what we wanted; he never talked down to us, treated us as idiots or side-stepped our wishes because he "knew" what was best. There were some hiccups with the some of the design elements (not his fault) and Dave made sure everything worked out; explained all of the impacts to the cost and schedule due to different design directions and was very easy going about modifying the scope of work when necessary. In the end, we are extremely happy with the workmanship, how fast the crew worked, and the genuineness of Dave as well as the crew.We plan on using them again when we have saved up enough for the next phase. No question about it. This is the team to go with. Dave treats the whole process as a partnership - you will be involved and even during the challenging moments, you will appreciate Dave's desire to alleviate as much stress from you as possible. The crew is wonderful and you can feel safe with them if you have any kids. Overall, we definitely recommend them and will be using them again for other projects we have in mind. We were blessed to land the We Build SD team! Our kids still ask when they are coming back, especially some of the crew! Cheers!

Dave the owner is all about integrity and providing a high level of quality and responsiveness throughout the project. We were in the market for a new kitchen and after interviewing multiple contractors, we chose We Build San Diego to remodel our kitchen. From the beginning, Dave (the owner) was very forthcoming on what could be done for the kitchen. He told me how long it would take and what the investment would be. He answered any and all of my questions that I had and always made me feel like it was ok to ask questions. Remodeling a kitchen is a big endeavor and I wanted to make sure that we did it right. Before beginning the project, we did a pre-construction walk through to make sure that every aspect of the job would be addressed and covered. He mentioned who would be on the job and when to expect the guys. All throughout the project, the guys were prompt, cordial and answered any questions that I might have had. They worked with me throughout every aspect of the remodel. The guys made sure that I knew what was going to happen everyday. If I was unclear about something they would explain it further for me. They also cleaned up after they were done for the day. The other thing that really appealed to me was that the guys acted like it was their kitchen that they were remodeling and not just mine. I love that. After my kitchen was completed, Dave came by and did a final construction walk through to go over any last minute issues. By then there were none. If I had a concern or if there was something that needed additional focus, Dave made sure that his guys knew about it and then would send someone to correct the error. My kitchen is now beautiful and everything I wanted. It has clean lines, more cabinet space and the color scheme is amazing. I am so happy that I chose We Build San Diego to remodel our kitchen. It was the best decision that we ever made. Thank you Dave and the guys for everything.

Dave and his crew put solar on my house. He made the process so easy for me, communicated every step of the way and did fast clean work.
